Fire & Security Service and Installation Engineer

Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30-16:30

Location: Field-based, North West England

Salary Range: Up to £40,000 depending on experience

Contract type: Permanent

We’re looking for a skilled Service and Installation Engineer to join our team, working across a wide range of fire and security systems. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a growing, forward-thinking company where your skills and initiative will be truly valued.

As part of the team, you’ll be responsible for installing, commissioning, servicing, and maintaining a wide variety of Fire & Security systems, ensuring our customers receive the highest standards of safety and service.

What you will be doing

  • Install, commission, service and maintain fire and security systems
  • Attend emergency callouts and complete routine/reactive maintenance
  • Review job specs and drawings to plan efficient project delivery
  • Identify and report potential upgrade or sales opportunities
  • Complete accurate electronic job sheets, timesheets, and reports
  • Maintain clear communication with the Helpdesk and supervisors
  • Support colleagues with technical advice and site assistance
  • Represent the company professionally and maintain issued equipment

Who we are looking for

  • 2-5+ years’ experience in the fire & security industry
  • Skilled in fire alarms, CCTV, access control, and intruder systems
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Knowledge of relevant BS & EN standards
  • Experience with systems such as Galaxy, Texecom, Paxton, Morley, etc.
  • Confident communicator with good IT skills (MS Office + software tools)
  • Organised, self‑motivated, and customer‑focused
  • Full UK driving licence
