Support learners with SEND to achieve, progress and thrive

Do you want to make a real difference through high-quality, inclusive support that helps students build confidence, independence and achieve their goals? Are you passionate about supporting learners with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)?

Were looking for committed and flexible Learning Support Assistants to join our SEND team. These roles form a vital part of our inclusive provision; delivering responsive, learner-centred support across a range of occupational and vocation courses.

We have a range of opportunities available across our campuses in Luton, Watford and Hemel Hempstead, including full-time, part-time, term-time only and hourly paid roles. Please state your preferred campus, hours and working pattern in your application.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work directly with learners to provide one-to-one and small group support, helping them to access the curriculum, develop independence and make meaningful progress. You will also play an important role in supporting EHCP processes and maintaining accurate SEND documentation.

This is a varied and rewarding role. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting learners with a range of SEND needs, including those with EHCPs
  • Developing and implementing tailored support strategies based on individual needs and EHCP outcomes
  • Working closely with teaching staff to adapt learning activities and promote inclusive practice
  • Supporting the preparation and upkeep of SEND documentation, including EHCPs, exam access arrangements and support plans
  • Contributing to EHCP reviews and annual review processes, working with families and external professionals
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of support, progress and communication
  • Contributing to a consistent, high-quality and person-centred approach to learner support

Were looking for individuals who are patient, adaptable and committed to making a positive difference. Youll enjoy working as part of a team, building strong relationships with learners and staff.

You will bring:

  • An understanding of inclusive support strategies and learner needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work flexibly and respond to changing learner needs
  • A positive, proactive and learner-centred approach

If youre ready to contribute to a supportive and inclusive environment where learners can succeed, wed love to hear from you.

The closing date for applications is Sunday 12th July 2026.

You will have the full support of a dynamic team and opportunities to develop your skills and experience. Training and development are at the heart of everything we do, and you will be encouraged to grow within your role.

You can access a wide range of discounts and benefits including a cycle to work scheme, free on-site parking, pension, generous holiday scheme, time off at Christmas and early finishes on a Friday.
