We are currently recruiting for a Laundry Assistant to join a friendly and supportive team within a well-established care home for elderly residents in Coleraine.
Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00am 2:00pm
Pay: £13 per hour
Contract: Minimum 6-month assignment with the potential to continue on an ongoing basis
Key Duties:
? Washing, drying, ironing, and folding residents’ clothing and bedding
? Ensuring all laundry is labelled, sorted, and returned to the correct residents
? Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene within the laundry area
? Operating laundry equipment safely and efficiently
? Following infection prevention and health & safety procedures
? Assisting with general housekeeping duties as required
What We Need From You
- Previous laundry, housekeeping, or care home experience is desirable but not essential
- Reliable, hardworking, and organised
- Good attention to detail
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Compassionate and respectful when working in a care environment
