Location
Based across two sites in the Coalville area of North-West Leicestershire. Leicester city centre is approximately 20 minutes away, Nottingham around 35 minutes, and Burton upon Trent approximately 25 minutes, making this an accessible option from across the region.
The Practice
- Locally-run Extended Access service with a well-established federation structure behind it
- Two well-regarded host practices, each with full reception and administrative support on-site
- Patients pre-triaged via NHS 111 and local practices before reaching the GP, keeping the clinical caseload appropriate and manageable
- Realistic appointment numbers and efficient systems – no overbooking, no surprises

Your Role
- 3 to 5 sessions per week available – candidates wishing to work 3 sessions must take all three across Saturday and Sunday; up to 5 sessions can include Fridays
- Saturday clinics run 9am to 5pm; Sunday clinics run 10am to 2pm
- Acute and same-day access caseload – focused, clinical work throughout
- 15-minute appointments with protected breaks and approximately 4 patients per hour
- No home visits, no duty doctor responsibilities, and only self-generated administration
- Additional clinicians on-site on Saturdays; lone working on Sundays with full administrative backup
- Rotating between the two sites across the weekend
