Data Protection & AI Governance Business Partner

Contract Length: 4 months

Key skills

• CIPP-E qualification and having worked in a software house in a similar role for 4/5 years

Essential competencies

• Significant experience in data protection advisory work and governance delivery.
• Strong understanding of GDPR, DPA 2018, PECR, privacy governance frameworks (ISO 27701), and emerging AI regulatory landscapes.
• Working knowledge of AI governance, responsible AI principles, and risk assessment methods.
• Proven ability to operationalise frameworks and drive compliance adoption.
• Confident communicator able to influence all levels of stakeholders.
• Delivery-driven with strong accountability.
• Analytical problem-solver with attention to detail; identifies risks and provides clear, actionable mitigations,
• Confident decision-maker, able to balance risk and innovation
• Collaborative, supportive, and committed to continuous improvement.
• Shares knowledge and builds capability across the team.
• Handles pressure, shifting priorities, and evolving technologies.
• Willing and able to flex working hours to accommodate global time zones

Qualifications

• CIPP/E and/or CIPM, AI/ML lifecycle;
• Desirable: CIPT, ISO/NIST AI governance training.

Preferred skills

• Advanced AI governance; complex risk assessment; ADM/profiling safeguards; supplier due diligence;
