Overview
Bid Manager – Nottingham. £45,000 – £55,000 + 10% Bonus + Excellent Benefits. Looking for a Bid Manager role where you can genuinely shape how bids are done, not just manage the process? This is a business where bids matter. You’ll be leading from the front in a fast-moving, commercially driven environment across the manufacturing and construction sectors.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end bid process from qualification through to submission.
- Lead a team of 6 and manage high-volume, high-impact bids; typically c.150 tenders per year + proposals, with submissions up to £1m in value.
- Maintain a strong win rate of circa 1 in 3.
- Deliver bids across local authority, community regeneration, new build housing, and leisure sectors.
- Ensure every submission is commercially sharp, creatively strong, and aligned to client objectives.
- Review, refine, and proofread bid materials to a high standard while maintaining bid integrity.
- Collaborate with key internal stakeholders including the Managing Director, Commercial Director, Design Manager, and Sales Leads.
- Ensure win themes align with internal capability and client expectations.
- Drive continuous improvement by evolving bid processes, structure, and output quality.
- Create a more efficient, scalable function with the opportunity to grow the team over time.
