Supplier Quality Engineer

Overview

Are you an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer with a background in manufacturing? We are looking for a passionate and proactive Supplier Quality Engineer to join a global leader in aerospace and advanced technologies. You will play a critical role in driving supplier performance, ensuring quality standards, and supporting the wider operations and procurement teams. This is a high-impact role where your expertise will influence product excellence and supplier relationships.

Contract: Permanent. Hours: Monday to Thursday, 8:00am – 4:30pm; Friday, 8:00am – 3:30pm. Location: Coventry. Salary: Very Competitive Salary on Offer + Bonus.

Responsibilities

• Lead supplier performance improvement initiatives across aerospace manufacturing projects
• Drive key supplier processes, audits, and root cause investigations
• Ensure effective containment, corrective actions, and Zero Defect programme implementation
• Collaborate with suppliers on process improvements and source transfer programmes
• Analyse nonconforming data and drive resolution strategies
• Manage supplier development using APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, and root cause tools

Essential Experience / Skills / Qualifications

• Possess an aerospace quality background with working knowledge of AS9100, AS13100; AS9102 would be beneficial
• Experience in supplier audits and supplier development
• Proficient in APQP, DFMEA, PFMEA, PPAP, MSA, SPC, Control Plans
• Confident in problem-solving, lean manufacturing, and using SAP systems
• Full UK Driving License
• EU travel once a month
