Main duties of the job
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data Manager / Analyst to join our dynamic Paediatric Diabetes Multidisciplinary Team (MDT).
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in improving outcomes for children and young people with diabetes by ensuring high-quality data collection, analysis, and reporting.
You will work closely with clinicians, nurses, and administrative staff to support clinical audit, service evaluation, and national reporting requirements, contributing directly to service improvement and patient care.

Detailed Job Description And Main Responsibilities
You will enter, modify and delete data accurately, completely and consistently into the Twinkle database in accordance with agreed local and national policies and procedures.
You will manage the data collection from the services clinical episodes of care and ensure all relevant data are submitted to National Audit and Finance within deadlines. Implement new processes when changes are made to the data collection as well as sorting any queries relating to the data.
You will analyse data and prepare reports by inputting and manipulating complex data using tools such as Excel, Business Intelligence, and other national databases.
You will be able to analyse data and interpret complex processes.
You will have advanced skills in MS Excel, Access, Word and Business Objects with ability to use standard formulae and write queries.
You will have strong problem solving skills and the ability to generate new ideas and approaches.

Qualifications, Knowledge And Experience
Essential criteria
- GCSE Maths and English (Grade C or above)
- Relevant ECDL or equivalent
- Evidence of continuing professional development
- Foundation Degree Level Qualification or equivalent knowledge/experience
