Infrastructure Engineer

Salary

£45,000 – £45,000 per year

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience in 2nd or 3rd line IT support
• Experience with Linux and/or Windows platforms
• Familiarity with public cloud environments
• Experience with virtualisation technologies (VMware, VxRail, Nutanix)
• Experience with storage arrays (Dell Compellent, HPE Nimble)
• Experience with patch management software
• Knowledge of backup concepts and software
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting
• Endpoint protection and anti-virus management experience (SentinelOne)
• Experience with commercial incident, problem, and change management tools (BMC Remedy, Halo preferred)

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced 2nd and 3rd line IT support, including troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving complex issues
• Focus on finding the root cause and implementing permanent solutions
• Work with Windows (or Linux) platforms, with a willingness to deepen knowledge in both
• Administer visualisation technologies and storage arrays
• Manage patching processes using software like SCCM or Intune, and handle backup concepts and software
• Use commercial Incident, Problem, and Change management tools
• Maintain accurate documentation of systems, procedures, and incident resolutions
• Provide regular reports as needed
