BMC Helix Architect / Senior Engineer

Salary: £117,000 – 117,000 per year

Requirements

• We require active SC Clearance.
• We are looking for contractors with a strong engineering and architecture background, preferably within highly regulated environments.
• We require at least 8 years of hands-on experience with BMC Remedy / BMC Helix ITSM at enterprise scale.
• We require deep expertise in Helix ITSM modules including Incident, Problem, Change, CMDB, Asset, Service Request, and Knowledge.
• We require proficiency in AR System workflow, including Filters, Escalations, and Active Links, as well as Smart IT configuration.
• We require strong REST/SOAP API integration skills and experience with BMC Helix iPaaS / Integration Service.
• We require scripting ability in Python, PowerShell, or Bash for automation tasks.
• We require experience with BMC Helix Discovery (ADDM) and CMDB data modelling.
• We require ITIL v4 Foundation certification at minimum; Managing Professional or Strategic Leader is preferred.
• We require excellent communication skills and the ability to lead technical workstreams across multi-team organizations.

Responsibilities

• We architect and deliver end-to-end BMC Helix ITSM solutions covering Incident, Problem, Change, Release, Asset, and Service Catalogue management.
• We lead migration from on-premises BMC Remedy to BMC Helix SaaS environments.
• We design and build integrations with third-party platforms via REST/SOAP APIs and BMC Helix iPaaS.
• We configure and maintain BMC Helix Discovery for CMDB population and CI relationship mapping.
• We implement SLAs/OLAs, automation rules, escalation policies, and approval workflows.
• We act as a Level 3 escalation point, monitor platform health, and manage upgrades and patches.
• We collaborate with stakeholders to align platform capabilities with ITIL v4 processes and business strategy.
• We mentor ITSM administrators and produce technical documentation including architecture diagrams and runbooks.
