We’re looking for an experienced Plumbing & Heating Manager to lead the Plumbing & Heating department at our Ladbroke Grove branch. This is a hands-on role in a busy merchant environment, where product knowledge, customer relationships, and commercial awareness all matter. You’ll be joining a supportive branch team within Lords Builders Merchants, with the opportunity to make a real impact and grow your career as part of a successful and expanding group.
Responsibilities
- Leading the day-to-day running of the Plumbing & Heating department
- Building strong relationships with existing and prospective customers
- Driving sales growth through excellent service and product knowledge
- Managing stock levels, ordering, and product availability
- Providing expert advice across plumbing and heating products and solutions
- Working with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and availability
- Ensuring the department operates safely and in line with company standards
- Supporting and motivating the wider branch team
Qualifications
- Previous experience in plumbing sales within a merchanting environment (essential)
- Supervisory or management experience
- Strong knowledge of plumbing and heating products and systems
- A commercial mindset with a customer-focused approach
- Confidence working in a fast-paced branch environment
- Experience with stock control and department management
- A positive, team-focused attitude
- Eligibility to work in the UK
