Overview

Lean Manufacturing Excellence Manager responsible for driving meaningful change and delivering measurable results within the Supply Chain Management (SCM) organisation. Leads the Lean agenda across manufacturing operations and partners with operational leaders to improve productivity, quality, flow, and cost performance. Champions the Healthineers Performance System (HPS) and builds capability for continuous improvement and innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Define and deploy Lean strategy aligned to organisational goals, translating business priorities into continuous improvement initiatives
  • Lead cross-functional programmes to enhance productivity, capacity, efficiency, and resilience
  • Analyze performance metrics (cycle time, throughput, OEE, lead times) to identify and remove bottlenecks across operations
  • Champion Lean methodologies such as standard work, SMED, and value stream mapping; coach teams and leaders to embed Lean thinking
  • Recruit, develop, and inspire a high-performing team; foster an inclusive and collaborative environment
  • Partner with global and local stakeholders to ensure alignment with supply chain policies, regulations, and best practices
  • Leverage data analytics and digital tools to drive informed decision-making and improve operational performance
  • Advance digitalisation within SCM and build capability in system architecture aligned with global initiatives
  • Promote a culture of innovation, encouraging new ideas, technologies, and ways of working
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships and enable clear, effective communication across the business

Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, or a related discipline
  • Significant experience in manufacturing or operations environments
  • Demonstrated success in leading Lean transformation or continuous improvement programmes
  • Experience facilitating workshops and leading cross-functional teams
  • Strong prioritisation and decision-making skills in dynamic operational environments
  • Desirable: Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent
  • Desirable: Experience supporting new product introduction (NPI)
  • Desirable: Background in regulated manufacturing environments
  • Desirable: Knowledge of Industry 4.0 and digital manufacturing technologies
  • Key strengths: Expertise in Lean manufacturing and process optimisation
  • Key strengths: Strong analytical capability with experience in data, SAP, or digital tools
  • Key strengths: Influencing and stakeholder management skills
  • Key strengths: Coaching and leadership capability that brings out the best in others
