Hawk3 Talent Solutions is recruiting for an experienced and driven Production Manager to lead a high‑performing manufacturing team in Wiltshire.

In this pivotal leadership role you will oversee a structured team comprising 4 Team Leaders, an Assembly Manager, an Evening Shift Leader, a Production Planner, and around 30 skilled production staff in a fast‑paced environment that balances hands‑on leadership with strategic thinking.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily production across both shifts.
• Ensure on‑time delivery while maintaining exceptional quality standards.
• Own and improve production efficiency through smart planning and leadership.
• Manage and adapt production plans to meet changing customer demands.
• Coach, mentor, and develop Team Leaders and the wider production teams.
• Drive performance through KPI tracking and clear communication.
• Promote a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.
• Conduct team meetings, inductions, appraisals, and disciplinary processes as needed.
• Manage attendance, timekeeping, and payroll accuracy.
• Oversee health and safety compliance, safe working practices, and PPE adherence.
• Create quality alerts and lead problem‑solving initiatives across the floor.
• Report weekly machine performance and cascade insights through teams.

• Proven experience managing large teams within a manufacturing environment.
• Confidence working with production planning systems (MRP) and MS Office tools.
• Knowledge of heavy manufacturing machinery.
• Strong coaching and mentoring skills.
• A proactive, positive mindset with a strategic outlook.
• Excellent communication skills and an approachable leadership style.
• Experience in KPI reporting and performance management.
