We are working with a highly regarded Independent Tax Advisory firm that is looking to recruit a Senior Tax Consultant to join its growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex tax issues, building long-term client relationships and working across a broad range of advisory projects.
The firm advises both individuals and businesses on a wide variety of tax matters, providing exposure to diverse and technically interesting work while offering the autonomy and support needed to develop your career.
The Role
As a Senior Tax Consultant, you will work closely with clients and senior stakeholders, taking ownership of advisory projects from inception through to completion. You will become a trusted adviser to clients, helping them navigate complex tax issues and providing practical, commercially focused solutions.
The role offers exposure across a broad spectrum of tax advisory work, including both private client and business taxation matters, making it ideal for someone looking to continue broadening their technical expertise.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Managing a portfolio of tax advisory projects from initial scoping through to completion.
- Providing tax advice to a wide range of individuals, entrepreneurs and businesses.
- Building strong relationships with clients and acting as a trusted point of contact.
- Advising on a broad range of tax matters including business restructuring, share schemes, R&D reliefs, inheritance tax, residency and property taxation.
- Drafting high-quality reports, advice notes and client correspondence.
- Working closely with Directors and senior colleagues on complex tax assignments.
- Managing client communications and ensuring projects progress efficiently.
- Assisting with business development activities, networking events and client webinars.
- Preparing proposals for prospective clients and helping convert new business opportunities.
- Monitoring project scope and fee arrangements, ensuring work remains commercially viable.
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members, helping to develop their technical and professional skills.
- Contributing to the continuous development of technical knowledge across the team.
Skills & Experience
- CTA qualified.
- Strong tax advisory experience
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- Commercially minded with a proactive approach to problem solving.
