Overview

Are you an experienced Support Worker looking to make a real and positive difference supporting vulnerable people that may have a range of complex needs? Horton Housing are currently recruiting for a Tenancy Sustainment Officer who will be responsible for providing tenancy management support to people in their home and to help them maintain their tenancy. Reporting to the Scheme Manager, the successful candidate will support people with their independent living skills and assist them in the practical and emotional aspects of maintaining their accommodation. You will also provide flexible support to meet the individual’s needs based around their physical, mental and emotional health and well-being.

Responsibilities

  • Provide tenancy management support to people in their home and assist them in practical and emotional aspects of maintaining their accommodation.
  • Support people with independent living skills and provide flexible support based on individual physical, mental and emotional health and well-being.
  • Report to the Scheme Manager and work to sustain tenancy.

Qualifications

  • Experience of working directly with people that may have a range of complex needs, including homelessness or rough sleeping, drug and/or alcohol issues, with a history of offending and those in crisis situations.
  • Experience of undertaking assessments, developing individual support plans and working with people in a community setting.
  • Experience of providing support to people to assist them in maintaining their own homes.
  • Evidence of vocational training in relevant skills for the post (e.g., mental health issues and social care).
  • Awareness of issues relating to people who are or have experienced homelessness, poor mental ill health, or drug and/or alcohol issues.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle which can be insured for business use.

Benefits and terms

  • Full-time permanent contract (35 hours per week across Monday to Friday).
  • Annual salary: £26,406.00 per annum.
  • 6 weeks paid annual leave (plus bank holidays).
