Shift Manager – Warehouse

Pay Rate: £36,500 to £42,000Grade: MContract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)Shift patterns: any 5 from 7 Rotational Shifts hours to be discussed at InterviewLocation: Gloucester

We are now looking for a Warehouse Shift Manager to lead our operations and drive success.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Supervise and lead warehouse operatives during the shift, ensuring all picking, packing, loading, and dispatch activities run efficiently.
• Allocate and manage workloads to meet daily targets, ensuring productivity, accuracy, and on-time order fulfilment.
• Monitor warehouse performance and resolve operational issues such as delays, stock discrepancies, or equipment problems in real time.
• Ensure strict compliance with health & safety procedures, company policies, and warehouse operating standards at all times.
• Communicate with warehouse management and other departments at shift handover, providing updates on performance, issues, and completed tasks.

THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO

• Strong leadership and team management skills, with a minimum of 12 month’s experience supervising or leading a warehouse or logistics team.
• Good organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet tight operational deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong understanding of health & safety regulations, ensuring full compliance and maintaining a safe working environment at all times.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to respond quickly and effectively to operational issues under pressure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate between warehouse staff, transport teams, and management to ensure smooth operations.
