Instructor – Sport, Outdoor Leadership & Uniformed Public Services

·      Salary: £30,941 – £32,977 (SO1) pro rata

·      Contract: Full time, Term Time + 4 weeks – 40 weeks

 

About the Role

Join our ambitious Sport & Public Services team at Easton College. We deliver high-quality, career-focused education that prepares learners for the next step in sport, outdoor leadership and uniformed public services. You will deliver engaging, practical sessions, support learner progress and contribute to a dynamic, professional learning environment across sport, outdoor leadership and uniformed public service courses.

Key Responsibilities

·      Deliver practical and engaging learning sessions aligned to curriculum and industry standards across sport, outdoor leadership and uniformed public service courses.

·      Demonstrate safe practices across sport, outdoor leadership and public service activities

·      Assess learner progress and maintain accurate records

·      Provide feedback to support learner development

·      Maintain safe and high-quality learning environments

·      Support recruitment events, trips and enrichment

About You

We are looking for someone who brings energy, professionalism and a passion for student success.

·      Relevant Level 3 qualification or higher

·      Experience in sport, outdoor leadership or public services

·      Experience of planning and delivering engaging fitness training sessions for young people

·      Proven experience delivering engaging practical sport sessions, with sound knowledge of rules, regulations and safety, and a strong ability to develop young people’s technical and tactical performance

·      Knowledge and experience of a range of skills related to the curriculum area as advertised, including both land-based and water-based outdoor activities

·      Strong coaching and communication skills

·      Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
