Heritage Engineer / Structural Engineer (Permanent)

Structural Engineer Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent Our client is a leading contractor with an established reputation for delivering high-quality construction and infrastructure projects across the South West. Due to continued growth and a strong project pipeline, they are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join their expanding team in Devon. As a Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, analysis, and delivery of structural solutions across a diverse portfolio of projects across engineering developments. Working closely with project teams, clients, and stakeholders, you will ensure structural integrity, compliance, and efficient project delivery from concept through to completion. Design and analyse structural elements using appropriate engineering principles and software. * Undertake site inspections and structural surveys. * Collaborate with clients, architects, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams. * Support project delivery by providing technical expertise throughout construction phases. * Identify and resolve engineering challenges and provide practical solutions. * Assist with project planning, budgeting, and programme management where required. * Maintain high standards of health, safety, quality, and environmental compliance. Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering. * Minimum 3 years’ experience within a structural engineering environment. * Strong knowledge of structural design principles and UK building regulations. * Experience working on commercial, residential, industrial, or infrastructure projects. * Proficient in structural design software and engineering calculations. * Full UK Driving Licence. Experience using AutoCAD, Tekla Structural Designer, TEDDS, or similar software. * Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously. * Ongoing professional development and support towards Chartership. * Exposure to a varied and exciting project portfolio.
