Assistant General Manager/ GM in Training The Ship, Wandsworth – Salary or hourly rate available depending on preference We’re looking for an experienced Young’s Deputy Manager or General Manager in Training who can hit the ground running in one of the busiest pubs in the estate. The Ship is famous for its huge summers and high-volume trading. We recently took £100,000 in a single day over the Bank Holiday weekend , so this role is all about thriving in a fast-paced environment, leading large teams, and maintaining exceptional standards under pressure. Our new General Manager joins from The Hope & Anchor, Brixton and The Wheatsheaf, Borough Market, while our new Head Chef, Hamoun, has recently moved across from The Windmill, Clapham to elevate our food offer. This role would suit an ambitious Deputy Manager, Designate Manager, or aspiring General Manager who is looking to gain valuable experience in a flagship, high-volume site before taking on their own pub in the near future. Previous management experience within Young’s or a similar premium pub operator Excellent attention to detail (you’ll be helping keep the office side of the business running smoothly) This role has a strong operational and back-office focus, including:
