Senior Director of TV Plus, Europe

Position Summary

The TV Plus team is responsible for operating the Samsung TV Plus service across 19 countries in Europe and the Middle East, reaching over 600million devices worldwide. We develop a broad product portfolio and expand content offerings, working closely with global Samsung teams to deliver innovative services to customers.

Role and Responsibilities

• Strategic Planning – Develop and execute long‑term strategic plans aligned with market trends to identify new business opportunities and technology advancements.
• Operational Management – Oversee day‑to‑day operations across product development, engineering, marketing, business development, customer support, and finance to meet KPIs.
• Sales Enablement – Work with regional sales teams to achieve sales targets and objectives.
• Team Leadership – Recruit, develop, and motivate high‑performing teams; provide regular mentoring, coaching, and feedback.
• Financial Oversight – Manage budgets, supervise financial performance, and optimize profitability.
• Product Development – Collaborate with product teams to define roadmaps, prioritize features, and ensure timely delivery of innovative products.
• Market Analysis – Conduct research to identify customer segments, analyze competitive landscape, and inform strategic marketing initiatives.
• Customer Focus – Drive customer acquisition, retention, and support strategies to prioritize satisfaction.
• Technology Leadership – Evaluate emerging technologies and trends, guiding technology investments.
• Stakeholder Management – Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners and stakeholders.
• People Management – Provide clarity on strategy, purpose, and direction; manage onboarding, offboarding, and the full colleague lifecycle; handle annual management cycles including goal setting, evaluation, and salary reviews.
• Compliance – Ensure team adherence to company processes, procedures, and standards.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of senior international experience in digital media and technical development.
• 10+ years of experience managing and expanding global OTT services.
• Proven success in a senior leadership role within a technology company.
• Ability to develop and execute long‑term strategic plans.
• Experience leading diverse multinational teams across ops, marketing, business development, and technology.
• Deep knowledge of business operations, including finance, marketing, sales, and product development.
• Strong understanding of the consumer video market and monetization strategies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong planning, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Familiarity with industry technology trends.
• Data‑driven decision‑making skills.
• Willingness to travel internationally (Europe, Americas, Asia).
• Knowledge of additional European languages is an advantage.
