Sales Support Manager

A leading UK investment and financial services organisation is seeking an experienced Sales Support Manager to lead its Sales Support function based in Bristol.

This is an excellent opportunity for a people-focused leader to manage and develop a high-performing team while supporting a national sales operation within a regulated financial services environment. Working closely with Business Development Managers and key stakeholders, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing client experience, driving operational efficiency, and supporting business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage and develop a team of Sales Support Executives, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture
  • Oversee first-line support for advisers and wholesale clients, ensuring timely and accurate handling of onboarding, documentation and compliance processes
  • Support Business Development Managers by coordinating sales activity and enabling efficient client engagement
  • Drive the preparation of tailored presentations, proposals and supporting sales materials
  • Ensure CRM systems are maintained accurately and effectively, monitoring pipeline activity and key performance metrics
  • Coordinate follow-up activity from marketing campaigns and support lead generation initiatives
  • Conduct market research and assist with the segmentation of target client groups
  • Identify opportunities to enhance processes and improve operational efficiency across the sales support function

About You

  • Proven experience leading or managing a sales support, client support or business development support team within financial services
  • Strong understanding of UK fund distribution and the regulatory environment
  • Excellent knowledge of CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights
  • Ability to work collaboratively across sales, marketing and operational teams

Desirable

  • Knowledge of Consumer Duty and Operational Risk Management
  • Experience managing hybrid teams
  • Degree or equivalent qualification
