Sales Support Manager
A leading UK investment and financial services organisation is seeking an experienced Sales Support Manager to lead its Sales Support function based in Bristol.
This is an excellent opportunity for a people-focused leader to manage and develop a high-performing team while supporting a national sales operation within a regulated financial services environment. Working closely with Business Development Managers and key stakeholders, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing client experience, driving operational efficiency, and supporting business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage and develop a team of Sales Support Executives, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture
- Oversee first-line support for advisers and wholesale clients, ensuring timely and accurate handling of onboarding, documentation and compliance processes
- Support Business Development Managers by coordinating sales activity and enabling efficient client engagement
- Drive the preparation of tailored presentations, proposals and supporting sales materials
- Ensure CRM systems are maintained accurately and effectively, monitoring pipeline activity and key performance metrics
- Coordinate follow-up activity from marketing campaigns and support lead generation initiatives
- Conduct market research and assist with the segmentation of target client groups
- Identify opportunities to enhance processes and improve operational efficiency across the sales support function
About You
- Proven experience leading or managing a sales support, client support or business development support team within financial services
- Strong understanding of UK fund distribution and the regulatory environment
- Excellent knowledge of CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights
- Ability to work collaboratively across sales, marketing and operational teams
Desirable
- Knowledge of Consumer Duty and Operational Risk Management
- Experience managing hybrid teams
- Degree or equivalent qualification
