Graduate Structural Engineer – Bristol

Bristol | £30,000 | Private Healthcare | 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays

ERS are working on behalf of a well established structural engineering consultancy looking to add a Graduate Structural Engineer with around 1–2 years’ UK experience to its growing Bristol team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a large private sector project portfolio, including industrial, logistics and residential developments, giving you exposure to a wide variety of structural engineering challenges.

You’ll gain hands-on experience designing structures in steel, concrete, timber and masonry, working alongside experienced engineers who will support your development towards ICE or IStructE Chartership.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Assisting with the design and analysis of structural engineering projects
  • Producing structural calculations, reports and technical drawings
  • Working with senior engineers from concept through to construction
  • Attending site visits and inspections
  • Developing your knowledge of UK design standards and building regulations

What we’re looking for:

  • Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Around 1–2 years’ UK structural engineering experience
  • Good understanding of structural design principles
  • Experience with software such as Tekla, AutoCAD, Revit or similar would be advantageous
  • A positive attitude and genuine desire to learn and progress
