ue.Responsibilit
- ies:Technically lead and coordinate multi-disciplined wastewater or water treatment / infrastructure projects and programmes of work throughout the design life
- cycleLead and manage the delivery of mechanical engineering activities across water and wastewater treatment projects from concept through to commissio
- ning.Provide technical leadership and guidance to multidisciplinary engineering teams, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and client specificat
- ions.Oversee the design, review, and approval of mechanical systems and equipment, including pumps, pipework, valves, treatment processes, and associated infrastruc
- ture.Develop and implement engineering strategies, standards, and best practices to improve quality, efficiency, and project perform
- ance.Mentor, coach, and develop engineers and technical staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional develop
- ment.Work closely with Project Managers, Operations teams, contractors, and clients to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within bu
- dget.Manage engineering resources, workloads, and priorities across multiple projects to meet business objectives and client commitm
- ents.Conduct technical reviews, risk assessments, and value engineering exercises to identify opportunities for innovation and cost optimisa
- tion.Ensure all mechanical engineering activities comply with relevant legislation, health and safety requirements, environmental standards, and company proced
- ures.Support business development activities by contributing technical expertise to proposals, tenders, and client presentat
- ions.Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, supply chain partners, regulatory bodies, and internal departm

- ementsDegree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering (or equi
- valent)Significant experience in mechanical design within the Utilities and/or Water
- sectorProven experience leading projects and/or engineering teams (or a strong desire to step into a leadershi
- p role)Strong knowledge of mechanical systems design including pumps, pipework, valves, and treatment pr
- ocessesExperience working within multidisciplinary engineering envir
- onmentsFamiliarity with relevant industry standards, codes, and regu
