Our client is expanding fast and is looking for a Business Development Manager to drive growth across the social housing sector. If you’re great at building relationships, confident selling technical solutions, and motivated by autonomy, this role will suit you perfectly.
You’ll be working with local authorities, housing associations, and main contractors — influencing specifications, uncovering opportunities, and securing long‑term supply agreements for a respected and growing building products manufacturer.
What you will be doing?
- Developing relationships with local authorities, ALMOs, housing associations, and procurement groups
- Building partnerships with Tier 1 and Tier 2 contractors delivering refurbishment and new‑build programmes
- The Business Development Manager will be Identifying and converting opportunities across frameworks, planned maintenance, and capital works
- Presenting product solutions to procurement teams, asset managers, and project leads
- Managing the full sales cycle from lead generation to tender support and contract award
- Working closely with estimating, technical, and operations teams to deliver accurate proposals and great service
- Tracking market trends and competitor activity to support commercial strategy
What you will bring!
- Experience in building products, construction materials, or technical sales
- Glazing or fenestration experience is beneficial but not essential — full product training is provided
- As the Business Development Manager you will need to understand the social housing sector and public‑sector procurement
- Confidence engaging with contractors, specifiers, procurement teams, and asset management professionals
- A proactive, commercially minded approach and the ability to manage a long‑term pipeline
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
