Overview
Fuel Recruitment is working with a well-established engineering organisation delivering a diverse range of projects across construction, renewable energy, and telecoms sectors. They are looking for a Junior / Graduate Structural Design Engineer with 1–2 years’ experience to join their growing team. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and analysis of structural elements across multiple sectors, including construction, telecoms, and renewable energy projects
- Produce calculations, technical drawings, and design documentation in line with relevant standards and codes
- Support senior engineers in project delivery, including site assessments and inspections where required
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure designs meet client and regulatory requirements
- Review and interpret technical data, specifications, and reports
- Contribute to project planning, progress tracking, and technical problem-solving
Key Skills / Experience
- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or closely related discipline)
- 1–2 years’ experience in a structural design role (placements or graduate roles considered)
- Understanding of structural design principles and relevant UK standards
- Experience with design software such as AutoCAD, Tekla, or similar (experience with analysis software advantageous)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Interest in working across construction, telecoms, and renewable energy projects
