Company Description Platform 37 King’s Cross hosts public-facing AI events and initiatives led by Terry Williams in collaboration with UCL. The organization focuses on making advances in AI accessible and understandable to a wide public audience through talks, workshops, and community events. A key channel for engagement is the DeepMind AI Events for the Public Notifications Newsletter, which shares upcoming events, news, and resources. The team operates in a fast-paced, intellectually curious environment at King’s Cross in London, working closely with academic and industry partners. Applicants will join a small, mission-driven group committed to fostering inclusive dialogue around AI and its impact on society.Role Description The Personal Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in London at Platform 37 King’s Cross. This position provides high-level executive and personal support to the CEO, ensuring their schedule, communications, and priorities are managed efficiently. Day-to-day responsibilities include diary management, organizing meetings and AI-related events, coordinating travel and logistics, and handling correspondence and follow-ups with partners, speakers, and attendees. The role also involves preparing documents and presentations, maintaining records, and supporting the smooth delivery of the DeepMind AI Events for the Public Notifications Newsletter. The Personal Assistant will liaise with internal and external stakeholders, manage sensitive information with discretion, and proactively anticipate the CEO’s needs to enable effective decision-making and public engagement.Qualifications

  • Strong Executive Administrative Assistance and Personal Assistance skills, including managing complex schedules and priorities for senior leadership.
  • Proficiency in Diary Management and Administrative Assistance, with experience organizing meetings, events, and logistics.
  • Solid Clerical Skills, including document preparation, record keeping, and handling correspondence accurately and efficiently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently with diverse stakeholders.
  • High level of discretion, reliability, and professionalism when handling confidential information.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and the capacity to work under pressure.
  • Comfort with office software and digital tools (e.g., email platforms, calendars, presentation software, basic spreadsheets).
  • Previous experience supporting a senior leader, preferably in an academic, events, or technology-focused environment, is an advantage.
  • Relevant education or training in administration, business support, or a related field is beneficial.
