Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role initially based at our Wolverhampton HQ during additional training, but will then become nationwide. The role involves installing, configuring, and testing HGV vehicle safety systems, including braking-related electronic systems, cameras, sensors, and associated wiring looms on heavy trucks and trailers. The installer will follow technical diagrams, use laptop software tools, and ensure all work complies with safety standards, manufacturer specifications, and relevant regulations. You’ll follow a structured training process as we are audited by the Vehicle Certification Agency, and there’ll be staged factory training courses at the main global brake manufacturers training schools.

Qualifications

  • Strong technical skills in Electrical Wiring and related HGV or automotive electrical/electronic systems.
  • Experience in Customer Service, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients and team members.
  • Ability to deliver or support Training on installed systems, safe use, and basic troubleshooting for customers or colleagues.
  • Competence in planning and coordinating tasks, with basic Project Management abilities such as organizing jobs, managing time, and meeting deadlines.
  • Background in disciplined, safety-conscious environments (e.g., Army or other structured technical fields) is beneficial.
  • Relevant vocational qualification or apprenticeship in auto electrics, HGV maintenance, or a related engineering discipline preferred.
  • Comfortable working on-site in workshop and yard environments, including working on and around HGVs and trailers.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel locally to customer sites when required.
