The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Paralegal to join a top-ranked Civil Fraud and Commercial Litigation practice on an initial 12-month fixed-term contract.
Working as part of a specialist litigation team, the successful candidate will provide dedicated legal and administrative support on a complex, high-profile matter. This role offers valuable exposure to large-scale litigation and the opportunity to work alongside leading practitioners in the field.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing administrative support for hearings and trials, including preparing and agreeing indices
- Preparing, organising, and managing hearing and trial bundles
- Coordinating with transcribers and other external providers
- Filing, retrieving, and maintaining case documentation
- Liaising with clients, counsel, courts, and other third parties via telephone and email
- Assisting with logistical arrangements relating to case management
- Conducting legal research and drafting research memoranda
- Taking detailed notes during meetings, conferences, and client calls
- Supporting fee earners with a range of litigation-related tasks
Candidate Profile
Applicants should possess:
- A strong academic background, including a Law degree or GDL, together with the LPC, SQE, or BPTC
- A minimum of one year’s paralegal experience gained within a litigation environment
- Experience supporting large and complex litigation matters
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- A proactive and professional approach to work
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise effectively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other standard office applications
