Principal System Engineer

RC Fornax, a veteran-owned engineering consultancy operating across the aerospace and defence sectors, is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer with a strong background in full lifecycle systems engineering, Integration, Verification, Validation and Qualification (IVVQ), and requirements management using DOORS. The successful candidate will support the capture, development, verification, and compliance of system and sub-system requirements across complex defence programmes.

Key Skills & Experience:

• Full lifecycle Systems Engineering and IVVQ activities.
• Requirements capture, development, traceability, and conformance at system and sub-system levels.
• Proficiency with Systems Engineering tools, particularly IBM DOORS.
• Hardware Verification & Validation (V&V) experience.
• Defence platform experience, ideally within the maritime or naval domain.

Desirable Skills:

• Software Verification & Validation (V&V).
• Experience with large electrical systems/components.
• Knowledge of Integrated Platform Management Systems (IPMS) for naval vessels or submarines.
