Independent Social Workers – Children’s Assessments (Self-Employed/Associate)

We’re expanding our network of experienced Independent Social Workers across England to support Local Authorities, Independent Fostering Agencies and Children’s Services with a range of high-quality statutory and specialist assessments.

If you’re an experienced Children’s Social Worker looking for flexible, well-supported assessment work, we’d love to hear from you.

Assessments include:

  • Kinship Assessments
  • Parenting Assessments
  • PAMs Assessments
  • Form F Assessments
  • Special Guardianship Order (SGO) Assessments
  • Connected Persons Assessments
  • Viability Assessments
  • Foster Carer Reviews
  • Adoption Assessments
  • Court-directed Assessments

What we’re looking for:

  • Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
  • Minimum 3 years’ post-qualifying experience within Children’s Services
  • Previous experience completing one or more of the above assessments independently
  • Excellent report writing and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage your own workload and meet agreed timescales
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Access to your own transport for community-based work (where required)
