A highly regarded law firm is seeking an organised and proactive Administrative Assistant to join its Clinical Negligence team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong administrative skills who is looking to build a career within the legal sector and support a specialist team acting on complex and sensitive client matters.

The Role

You will play a key role in supporting fee earners and legal assistants with the day-to-day administration of clinical negligence cases. Working within a collaborative and supportive team, you will help ensure files are managed efficiently and clients receive an exceptional level of service throughout their matter.

Key Responsibilities

  • Opening, maintaining and closing client files in accordance with internal procedures.
  • Assisting with client onboarding, compliance checks and case management processes.
  • Preparing correspondence, forms and legal documentation.
  • Managing incoming calls, emails and client enquiries professionally and efficiently.
  • Supporting fee earners with diary management, file administration and document handling.
  • Processing identity verification and anti-money laundering checks.
  • Maintaining accurate records and updating case management systems.
  • Assisting with archiving, document production and general administrative support across the department.
  • Building positive relationships with clients and colleagues while delivering excellent client care.

About You

  • Previous administration experience, ideally within a professional services or legal environment.
  • Experience within clinical negligence or personal injury would be advantageous but is not essential.
  • Good understanding of medical terminology would be beneficial.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and Outlook.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
  • Professional, personable and committed to delivering high standards of client service.
  • A proactive team player with a positive and flexible attitude.
