We’re working exclusively with a well-funded infrastructure business that’s entering one of the most exciting phases of its growth.
Having successfully developed a significant pipeline of projects, the business is now transitioning into live operations and is looking for an Operations Manager to help build the operational foundations that will support its continued expansion across the UK.
This isn’t a traditional Operations Manager role where you’ll inherit established processes.
It’s an opportunity to help build them.
Reporting directly to the Head of Operations, you’ll sit at the heart of the business, acting as the link between project delivery and live operations. You’ll work across supply chain, commercial contracts, supplier management, operational readiness, budgeting, reporting and governance, ensuring new operational sites are brought online smoothly and supported effectively.
What you’ll be doing
- Managing supplier relationships and operational supply chains
- Negotiating and administering supplier contracts
- Monitoring SLAs and supplier performance
- Managing operational budgets, purchase orders and cost forecasting
- Coordinating operational readiness for new site launches
- Developing operational processes and governance
- Producing reports and operational insights for senior leadership
- Improving systems, documentation and compliance
- Supporting cross-functional projects as the business continues to grow
What we’re looking for
We’re open to candidates from a variety of sectors including infrastructure, utilities, logistics, manufacturing, construction, facilities management, transport, telecoms or other operationally complex environments.
More important than industry experience is your mindset.
You’ll enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change quickly, and you’ll be someone who takes ownership rather than waits to be asked.
You’ll likely have experience with:
- Operations Management
- Supply Chain
- Commercial Contracts
- Supplier Performance & SLAs
- Budget Management
- Process Improvement
- Project Coordination
- CRM or Operational Management Systems
You’ll be commercially aware, highly organised and comfortable making decisions with incomplete information.
This role would particularly suit someone who enjoys building structure, improving processes and solving operational challenges rather than simply maintaining existing ones.
Why this role?
- Join a business at a pivotal stage of growth
- Work directly with an experienced Head of Operations
- Genuine autonomy and ownership
- Opportunity to shape how the operations function evolves
- Fast-paced, varied environment where no two days are the same
- Excellent long-term career progression as the business scales nationally
If you’re someone who enjoys building, improving and taking ownership, I’d love to have a confidential conversation.
