Electrical Engineer

I’m currently working with a leading organisation to find an experienced Electrical Engineer to support delivery on a major Data Centre project in Cardiff. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the design and delivery of technically complex, mission-critical infrastructure, contributing to high-quality, efficient and compliant project outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assign and coordinate workload across the team, ensuring high-quality delivery.
• Provide technical support and mentoring to junior engineers.
• Ensure critical building systems (electrical, HVAC, fire protection, BMS, etc.) operate to required standards.
• Oversee planned maintenance and manage reactive works as required.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure all activities are properly documented.
• Ensure full compliance with statutory requirements, health & safety standards, and company procedures.
• Liaise effectively with clients, contractors, and internal teams to support consistent project delivery.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical or Building Services Engineering (e.g. HNC/HND).
• Experience leading or supporting engineering teams on complex or mission-critical projects (e.g. data centres, healthcare).
• Strong technical understanding of building services systems, particularly electrical, with awareness of mechanical and HVAC systems.
• Familiarity with digital tools and systems such as BIM, BMS, or asset management platforms.
• Knowledge of health & safety standards, with relevant certifications (e.g. IOSH or NEBOSH)
