About the Role
Looking for experienced Electrical, Civil and Mechanical Site Engineers to support the delivery of Utility-scale solar PV power plants (5 MW and above). This is a site-based role focused on installation works, ensuring compliance with UK standards, and supporting successful project delivery from construction through commissioning.
You will work closely with the Construction Manager, project team, and subcontractors to ensure electrical works are completed safely, on time, and to specification.
Responsibilities
- On-site works for utility-scale solar PV projects
- Review and interpret electrical designs, including PV layouts, DC/AC cabling, inverter stations, substations, and single-line diagrams
- Identify design discrepancies or constructability issues and report to the Construction Manager
- Provide daily progress updates on construction activities, programme status, and material deliveries
- Monitor and control electrical materials on site, including inverters, transformers, switchgear, cables, and containment
- Ensure all works comply with UK standards, project specifications, and HSE requirements
- Support inspections, snagging, testing, commissioning, and energisation activities
- Assist with the preparation of as-built drawings and handover documentation
Qualifications
- University or Technical Degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Civil Engineering
Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years UK experience as a Site Engineers working for an EPC company.
- Previous experience on utility-scale solar PV projects (+5 MW)
- Strong knowledge of MV/LV systems, earthing, cable installation, and grid connection works
- Excellent use of English
- Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
- Construction experience
- Technical competence
- UK driving licence
Pay range and compensation package
