Site Agent / Senior Site Agent (Power, Energy & Structures)

Location: Scotland (Projects Across Central Belt & Wider Scotland)

I’m currently working with a well-established civil engineering contractor that is looking to appoint a Site Agent / Senior Site Agent to support the delivery of a diverse portfolio of infrastructure and energy projects across Scotland.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced civil engineering professional who enjoys managing multiple projects and working across a varied workload rather than being tied to a single long-term scheme.

The Role

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will take responsibility for the safe, efficient and profitable delivery of multiple live projects, ensuring works are completed on programme, within budget and to the highest standards of health, safety and quality.

Typical projects include:

• Substation and power infrastructure works

• Bridge and footbridge construction/replacement

• Pipeline refurbishment projects

• Earthworks, roads and general civil engineering packages

• Infrastructure projects for major utility and industrial clients

Key Responsibilities

• Managing multiple projects simultaneously from site mobilisation through to completion

• Leading site teams, subcontractors and supervisors

• Coordinating engineering, commercial and construction activities

• Driving programme performance and project delivery

• Managing project costs, variations and scope changes

• Maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships

• Producing progress and performance reports

• Supporting pre-construction planning and project close-out activities

Requirements

• Experience as a Site Agent or Senior Site Agent within civil engineering

• Strong background in infrastructure, structures, utilities or general civils projects

• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Strong leadership, commercial and organisational skills

• HNC/HND/Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent

• SMSTS and CSCS

Desirable

• Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC)

• Appointed Person (Lifting)

• IOSH

• Service Detection Training

• Experience within power, energy or utility infrastructure projects
