Mechanical Design Engineer
We’re seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a fast-paced engineering team developing innovative, high-precision products. This is a hands-on role working across the full product lifecycle, from early concept design through to manufacture, testing, and production. You’ll be contributing to technically challenging projects where accuracy, reliability, and manufacturability are critical.
The role involves detailed mechanical design of precision components and assemblies, working closely with manufacturing and engineering teams to deliver robust, production-ready solutions. You’ll also be involved in design analysis, testing, and product validation within a highly collaborative environment.
Required Experience & Skills
- Previous experience in mechanical design engineering
- Strong CAD experience for detailed mechanical design and manufacturing documentation
- Experience using FEA and/or hand calculations to support engineering decisions
- Proficiency with SolidWorks and ANSYS is preferred
- Strong Design for Manufacture (DFM) knowledge, particularly relating to precision metal components, CNC machining, and material selection
- Proven experience producing manufacturing-ready drawings and tolerancing to ISO BS 8888 and GD&T standards
