A leading consultancy is expanding its Commercial team within the Infrastructure, Energy & Natural Resources sector and is seeking ambitious Quantity Surveyors and Senior Quantity Surveyors to support some of the UK’s most significant infrastructure, energy transition, and major capital investment programmes.
This is an exciting opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of projects spanning traditional infrastructure, emerging nuclear developments, utilities, transportation, water, aviation, and next-generation energy programmes.
The Opportunity
You’ll play a key role in delivering commercial and contract management services on complex, high-value projects, supporting clients through the full project lifecycle. Working within a collaborative consultancy environment, you’ll gain exposure to nationally significant programmes and help drive successful project outcomes.
Whether you’re an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking to broaden your project exposure or a Senior Quantity Surveyor seeking greater responsibility and progression, this role offers the chance to work at the forefront of major infrastructure delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Commercial management of major infrastructure and capital projects
- Administration and management of NEC contracts
- Cost planning, forecasting, and reporting
- Change management and compensation event assessment
- Procurement and tendering support
- Risk and opportunity management
- Contractual advice and stakeholder engagement
- Supporting project controls and programme delivery teams
- Preparation and agreement of final accounts
- Building strong client relationships across multiple sectors
About You
Quantity Surveyor
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
- Experience within infrastructure, construction, utilities, energy, rail, water, aviation, or major projects
- Understanding of NEC contracts
- Strong commercial and analytical skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
Senior Quantity Surveyor
- Significant commercial management experience on major projects
- Strong NEC contract administration and management expertise
- Proven ability to manage commercial risks and opportunities
- Experience advising clients and leading commercial activities
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Chartered status (MRICS) desirable but not essential
