A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (IDVA) to join a specialist service supporting survivors of Domestic Abuse, Honour-Based Abuse (HBA), Forced Marriage (FM), and Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG).
This rewarding frontline role involves supporting high and medium-risk clients, helping them stay safe, access support services, and rebuild their lives.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a caseload of survivors
- Undertaking risk assessments and safety planning
- Providing crisis intervention and emotional support
- Delivering advocacy and ongoing case management
- Attending MARAC and multi-agency meetings
- Working closely with police, housing providers, and support agencies
Requirements
- Experience supporting survivors of domestic abuse or vulnerable individuals
- Strong safeguarding and risk assessment knowledge
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Understanding of barriers faced by BAME and migrant communities
- IDVA qualification and/or MARAC experience desirable
