JOB OVERVIEW

The UK & ROI Sales Manager is responsible for delivering profitable sales growth across a defined customer portfolio.

The role will develop and execute customer strategies, lead key account relationships, drive new business opportunities and ensure delivery of revenue, margin and profitability targets. The position currently manages one National Account Manager.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Commercial Leadership

• Deliver the annual sales, margin and profitability targets for an assigned portfolio

• Develop and execute annual and three-year strategic growth plans across customers, channels and brands

• Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline with clear opportunities, risks and mitigation plans

• Identify and secure new business opportunities across retail, e-commerce, wholesale and distributor channels

• Ensure all customer investment, promotional activity and trading terms deliver profitable growth

Customer Management

• Develop and strengthen relationships with key retail, wholesale and e-commerce partners.

• Lead customer negotiations, joint business planning and annual trading agreements.

• Drive distribution gains, rate of sale growth, promotional effectiveness and successful new product launches.

Partner with customers to create mutually beneficial growth plans aligned with company objectives.

Forecasting & Performance

Own sales forecasting, budget delivery and pipeline reporting for assigned accounts.

• Analyse customer, market and competitor performance to identify opportunities and improve results.

• Work closely with Demand Planning and Supply Chain teams to maximise forecast accuracy and service levels.

• Provide regular commercial updates, insights and recommendations to senior leadership.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with Marketing to deliver customer activation plans and successful product launches.

• Collaborate with Finance, Supply Chain, Operations and Brand teams to ensure effective execution of customer plans.

• Partner across the sales team to ensure delivery of the overall UK & ROI sales budget.

Leadership

• Lead, coach and develop one National Account Manager.

• Set clear objectives, review performance regularly and support career development.

• Foster a high-performance, commercially focused culture.

REQUIREMENTS

• Proven track record of delivering profitable sales growth within UK and/or ROI markets

• Experience managing major retail accounts and leading commercial negotiations.

• Strong understanding of retail, wholesale and e-commerce channels.

• Experience in forecasting, sales planning and performance reporting.

• Previous people management and coaching experience.

• Strong commercial and financial acumen.

• Excellent relationship-building, influencing and negotiation skills.

• Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into action.

• Strong communication and presentation skills.

• Highly organised, proactive and results focused.

Experience in the Beauty Industry preferred

• Achievement of monthly, quarterly and annual sales objectives.

• Growth of existing accounts and successful acquisition of new business.
