Quality Engineer

Location: Bournemouth Area

Salary: £47,000 + Benefits

Our client, a well-established and growing manufacturing business based in the Bournemouth area, is seeking a Quality Engineer to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced quality professional to play a key role in maintaining and improving quality standards across a busy manufacturing environment.

The successful candidate will work closely with production, engineering, and customer-facing teams to ensure products meet internal and external quality requirements while driving continuous improvement initiatives throughout the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and maintain the company’s quality management systems and processes.
  • Investigate quality issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Conduct internal audits and support external customer and certification audits.
  • Analyse quality data and metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Work closely with production teams to improve product quality and manufacturing performance.
  • Manage non-conformance reports and coordinate resolution activities.
  • Support customer quality requirements and assist with customer complaint investigations.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects focused on quality, efficiency, and waste reduction.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, procedures, and customer specifications.

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous experience in a Quality Engineer, Quality Assurance Engineer, Quality Specialist, or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of quality management systems and quality tools.
  • Experience working within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Knowledge of root cause analysis techniques and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments.
  • HNC/HND or Degree qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or a related discipline would be advantageous.

Package

  • Salary of £47,000
  • 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays
  • 4.5-day working week (37 hours)
  • Company pension scheme
