Network Engineer (Field) – Outside IR35 – Remote/Travel – £300/day
We need a practical, hands-on Cisco Network Engineer (Junior/Mid-level) who is strong in the physical layer (cabling, cabinet layout, presentation) and has a good understanding of the logical layer (Cisco switching & routing).

We are interested in candidates who have a strong cabling / physical infrastructure background and are now looking to expand their skillset into Cisco switching. The ideal person takes genuine pride in both technical delivery and the visual/professional presentation of their work. They will be comfortable working alone or within a team on our sites, enjoy variety and travel, and understand the importance of minimising disruption in live operational environments.
Essential Criteria
- Hands on experience with Cisco switching and routing (2-6 years~ CCNA level).
- Experience upgrading network switches in production or field environments.
- Practical experience with network cabinets, structured cabling and physical infrastructure (ability to tidy, reorganise and professionally present racks is essential).
- Willingness and flexibility to travel extensively across the UK & Europe, including frequent overnight stays and out of hours working.
- Full UK driving licence + valid passport.
- Right to work in the UK without sponsorship.
- Self-motivated, able to work independently and a team on sites and represent the team and company professionally.
