Atlas Nextwave are recruiting on behalf of our client for an Instrumentation Instructor / Assessor. This role will be on an ad hoc, as and when required basis and will be based in Altens, Aberdeen.
The ideal candidate should have a background / work related experience as an onshore or offshore Instrumentation Technician / Electronics Technician and ideally qualified to Level 3 or equivalent in maintaining and testing process instrumentation and control devices.
Knowledge & Skills:
o Fire and Gas Systems
o PLC’s
o Instrument Calibration
o Valve Maintenance
o Distributed Control Systems (DCS)
o Emergency Shutdown Systems (ESD)
• Knowledge of Instrumentation engineering and maintenance in either offshore or onshore environment
• Have a sound knowledge of Instrumentation engineering principles
• Working knowledge of Safe Systems of Work and Permit to Work system
• Communication skills
• Planning and organisational skills
• Numeracy, literacy and computing skills
• Effective written communication
As this is an ad hoc role, candidates are required to be relatively flexible to meet commercial requirements.
