Job Description:

Are you an existing Engineering Shift Manager, Engineering Supervisor or Engineering Team Leader looking for a new challenge with an established and growing food manufacturer?

Our client, an international leader in their field. They’re currently undergoing an exciting period of investment and seeking a proactive Engineering Shift Manager to lead, develop and motivate a shift engineering team made up of an Engineering Team Leader and Multi-skilled Engineers.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you will lead from the front, ensuring production continuity and the safe, efficient operation of site assets.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead and develop the shift engineering team to maximise OEE and equipment reliability

• Ensure rapid response to breakdowns, minimising downtime and production disruption

• Plan and deliver PPM activities to a high standard

• Work closely with production and technical teams to maintain plant performance and product quality

• Support continuous improvement initiatives alongside asset care and projects teams

• Manage key engineering KPIs including downtime, PPM completion and response times

The ideal candidate:

• Time-served and qualified (minimum Level 3) in a relevant engineering discipline

• Experience in a leadership role such as Engineering Shift Manager, Supervisor or Team Leader

• Background in fast-paced FMCG environments (food, drink, packaging, pharma or similar)

• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding and repair capability

• Experience using CMMS systems (e.g. Shire, Pirana, Holistic, etc.)

• Strong communicator with a proactive, hands-on leadership style
