Senior Authorised Person & Control Engineer

Role purpose

Join GRIDSERVE Network Operations as a Senior Authorised Person & Control Engineer and provide senior safety-critical control of GRIDSERVE-controlled HV systems and associated plant. The role combines system-control discipline, field SAP duties, switching governance, safety-document control and the development of Authorised Persons.

Candidate profile

• Recognised electrical or power-engineering apprenticeship, Level 3 qualification, HNC/HND, degree or equivalent
• Recognised HV operational training covering switching, safety documents, earthing, operational diagrams and system control
• Current or recent SAP appointment under recognised electrical safety rules, with demonstrable safe HV switching record
• Control Engineer, Network Control or equivalent system-control experience, or readiness for formal assessment
• Detailed working knowledge of ENA Model Distribution Safety Rules and DNO operational safety principles
• Full UK driving licence; able to travel nationally and participate in rostered on-call, standby and emergency response
