Harkaye Core Talent is partnering with a highly regarded Costs Firm to recruit an experienced Costs Draftsperson to join their growing Costs team. This is a fully remote opportunity offering genuine flexibility, a supportive team environment, and a varied caseload across complex litigation matters.

The Role
You’ll be responsible for managing your own caseload and preparing high-quality costs documentation from instruction through to settlement.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing Bills of Costs
- Drafting Costs Budgets (Precedent H)
- Preparing Budget Discussion Reports
- Drafting Points of Dispute and Replies
- Negotiating costs settlements
- Advising fee earners on costs strategy
- Supporting Detailed Assessment proceedings where required
About You
We’re keen to hear from candidates who have:
- Previous experience as a Costs Draftsperson or Costs Lawyer
- Strong knowledge of CPR and Costs Practice Direction
- Experience preparing Bills of Costs and Costs Budgets
- Knowledge of Detailed Assessment procedures
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to manage a busy caseload independently
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
Desirable
- Experience within Personal Injury, Clinical Negligence, Group Litigation or Commercial Litigation
- Advocacy experience (advantageous but not essential)
