We’re delighted to be working with a leading specialist engineering business to recruit a Field Service Engineer to join their growing team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on engineer who enjoys working with customers, solving technical problems and travelling to a variety of sites across the UK. You’ll play a key role in servicing, repairing, installing and commissioning specialist industrial machinery, ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently for customers.

As a Field Service Engineer, you’ll be responsible for providing installation, maintenance, servicing and repair support to customers across the UK.

Key responsibilities include:

• Travelling to customer sites to carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs

• Diagnosing and resolving mechanical and hydraulic faults

• Ensuring machinery is repaired efficiently and operating safely

• Installing and commissioning equipment at customer locations

• Decommissioning machinery when required

• Delivering operator training on the safe and effective use of equipment

• Producing risk assessments and method statements

• Maintaining accurate service records and documentation

• Ensuring all work complies with health and safety regulations and company procedures

• Providing a professional and customer-focused service at all times

We’re looking for a practical and motivated engineer who enjoys fault-finding and problem-solving in the field.

You’ll ideally have:

• Previous experience as a Field Service Engineer, Service Engineer, Plant Fitter, Mechanical Fitter or Maintenance Engineer

• A strong electrical and mechanical engineering background

• Experience working with hydraulics

• Welding and fabrication skills

• Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic abilities

• Strong communication and customer service skills

• The ability to work independently and manage your own workload

• A flexible approach to travel and working hours

• Full UK Driving Licence

• Electrical fault-finding experience

• Mobile engineering or field-based service experience
