We are partnering with a leading wealth management firm to appoint a Business Development Manager into its intermediary distribution team. The business has a strong reputation in the UK market and continues to grow its presence across financial advisers and professional introducers.
This is a client-facing, execution-focused role centred on developing and maintaining relationships within the intermediary market, with a clear focus on driving new assets and supporting revenue growth. You will work closely with senior Business Development Directors, acting as a key point of contact for advisers and professional partners.
This opportunity would suit an individual with strong relationship-building skills who is looking to step into a high-activity, commercially driven role, combining outreach, client support and pipeline generation.
The successful candidate will be involved in:
- Building and maintaining relationships with IFAs and intermediary partners through regular, structured contact
- Supporting business development activity aimed at increasing assets under management
- Generating new business opportunities through outbound engagement and follow-up activity
- Acting as a key point of contact for intermediary enquiries, ensuring timely and professional responses
- Coordinating introductions between intermediaries and internal investment teams to progress opportunities
- Supporting senior business development professionals in progressing leads and converting prospects
- Tracking and managing client interactions, ensuring accurate records and consistent follow-up
- Contributing to pipeline development through proactive outreach and relationship nurturing
- Gathering market feedback and insight to support ongoing business development activity
- Working collaboratively with internal teams to ensure a consistent and effective client experience
The ideal candidate should have:
- Experience in business development, sales support or client relationship roles within wealth management or financial services
- Understanding of the UK intermediary market, including IFAs and professional introducers
- Strong communication skills, with confidence engaging clients over the phone and in writing
- Demonstrable ability to build relationships and manage ongoing client contact
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple interactions and follow-ups effectively
- Commercial mindset with a focus on delivering measurable outcomes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and CRM systems
- A proactive, self-motivated approach with a strong work ethic
- Interest in developing knowledge of investment products and financial markets
