Rate: £30.57 per hour (Umbrella)
Working Pattern: Part-Time (Monday – Wednesday)
About the Role
Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking an experienced Senior Social Worker to join the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) on a part-time basis. This is a fast-paced, frontline role where you will be responsible for screening referrals, applying safeguarding thresholds, and supporting timely, high-quality decision-making to ensure children and families receive the right support at the right
Key Responsibilities
- Apply excellent threshold judgement to ensure appropriate safeguarding decisions
- Screen and triage referrals within MASH timescales
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, making timely and informed decisions
- Contribute to and attend strategy discussions, presenting information to support multi-agency decisions
- Collaborate closely with partner agencies and internal teams
- Maintain high standards of written and verbal communication
- Support team delivery and uphold a strong teamworking approach
Skills & Experience
- Qualified Social Worker with relevant registration
- Significant MASH experience (essential)
- Strong safeguarding knowledge, including threshold application
- Ability to work confidently in a high-pressure, fast-paced setting
- Excellent communication and decision-making skills
Working Arrangements
- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
- First 2 weeks fully office-based to support induction and team integrationPart-time role in line with local authority working expectations
