Salary: £50,000 per annum + benefits

The Opportunity

ARM is recruiting on behalf of a specialist Solar PV Operations & Maintenance provider managing over 200MW of commercial and industrial solar assets across the UK.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Solar PV Engineer, Commissioning Engineer or O&M Engineer looking to move into a predominantly office-based technical role, supporting the delivery of technical solutions across a diverse portfolio of solar installations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review engineer reports, inspections and test results.
  • Analyse faults and identify remedial solutions.
  • Provide technical advice to clients and internal teams.
  • Prepare quotations and scopes of work.
  • Specify replacement components and remedial works.
  • Support procurement activities and supplier engagement.
  • Provide technical guidance to field engineers.
  • Assist with technical documentation and continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

Essential

  • Minimum 5 years’ Solar PV industry experience.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial and industrial PV systems.
  • Experience fault-finding and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of inverters, monitoring systems, DC systems and electrical testing.
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Desirable

  • Solar PV O&M experience.
  • City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing.
  • ECS Gold Card.
  • Experience producing technical reports and quotations.
  • PV design software experience.
  • Knowledge of HV-connected solar installations.
