The Role

e?We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineering Contractor to support the development and delivery of highly reliable, mission-critical systems within a complex defence environment. This role will play a key part in ensuring systems are designed, integrated, verified and supported to achieve the highest levels of performance, availability and operational effectivene
ss.Working across the full engineering lifecycle, you’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, customers and stakeholders to manage requirements, support verification activities, influence design decisions and drive reliability-focused engineering best pract

- cycle.Support the development of highly reliable and secure systems for UK Defence applica
- tions.Analyse system requirements to ensure completeness, traceability, testability and compl
- iance.Support reliability, availability and maintainability (RAM) activities throughout the development life
- cycle.Contribute to verification, validation, integration and qualification planning and exec
- ution.Support root-cause investigations, risk reduction activities and reliability improvement initia
- tives.Work closely with design, integration and test teams to ensure engineering solutions meet performance and operational require
- ments.Ensure effective configuration management, data integrity and requirements co
ntrol.Essential Exp
- erienceProven Systems Engineering experience within defence, aerospace, nuclear or other highly regulated ind
- ustries.Strong understanding of reliability, availability, maintainability and systems assurance pri
- nciples.Experience managing complex requirements throughout the system li
- fecycle.Knowledge of Information Assurance and secure system design for UK MoD envir
- onments.Experience supporting verification, validation, integration and qualification act
- ivities.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and mitigate technica
- l risks.Experience working with requirements management tools and configuration-controlled envir
- onments.Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication
- skills.Degree qualified in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related dis
cipline.Desirable E
- xperienceReliability Engineering, Availability Analysis, FMECA, Fault Tree Analysis or related di
- sciplines.Experience supporting in-service systems and long-term capability p
- rogrammes.Knowledge of electronic and electrical systems within defence or aerospace app

- xperience.Experience with Jama Connect, Jira or other requirements managem
